Dear Colleagues, We wish to extend a cordial invitation to the Sixth Annual Conference of the Society for Heart Vascular Metabolism to be held in Boston, Massachusetts from Sunday, June 29 until Tuesday, July 1, 2008. The overall theme of the conference is “Metabolic Signaling in the Cardiovascular System: From Basic Discovery to Clinical Application”. There will be five separate symposia and oral presentations of submitted abstracts as well as ample time for poster presentations and informal discussions. As in previous years the conference will provide young investigators, postdoctoral fellows and students the opportunity to interact with more senior investigators (and vice versa). We encourage the submission of abstracts by young investigators from all fields of cardiovascular metabolism. The conference site is easily accessible from Boston’s Logan Airport and offers both accommodation and meeting facilities under one roof. The meeting presents the most recent basic and clinical advances in the study of metabolic signaling in health and disease. We are fortunate to have many of the most eminent scientists in the field from around the world in attendance. We look forward to a fruitful and stimulating conference. See you in Boston! Yours sincerely,
Rong Tian, Committee Chair, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, MA. (Queries regarding this meeting should be addressed to Rong Tian via e-mail at rtian@rics.bwh.harvard.edu) |
